The Wild Robot is not only a story of perseverance but a story of the power that love holds, especially the love between a mother and her child, or in this case, a robot and her gosling. Rozzum 7314 crash lands on an island while en route to her destination. After a tragic accident she ends up finding herself tasked with taking care of a gosling whom she names Brightbill. Rozz, along with help from some forest animal she meets along the way, raise Brightbill so that he is able to fly in time in order to be able to migrate south for the winter along with the other geese when the time comes. This movie is one of the most beautifully animated and beautifully told stories I have ever watched.

This movie especially resonated with me because recently I have felt that nervousness when it comes to taking risks especially because of the fear of failure. This movie reminded me of the capability to be able to do anything anyone else can do regardless of where you come from or how far behind you start out. I know for a fact we have all felt the feeling of wanting to stay comfortable and live life with caution. This story inspires you that taking the risk and putting in the effort will allow you to become all you want to be and this life as well as be able to achieve all that you hope too.
The soundtrack is exceptional and evokes an emotional yet playful sense of love for the story. The characters are well thought out and well developed. The animation style too, which is nothing short of astonishing. The Wild Robot is a five out five star cinematic masterpiece in my book. I cannot wait to have kids one day so I can show them this beautiful film. No matter whether its a movie targeted towards children or one targeted towards adults, this is what cinema is supposed to feel like and what I walk into the theater expecting...heartbreaking yet heart fulfilling... and to be able to walk out with a new outlook on life.
This movie is a love letter to all the mothers out there who would sacrifice anything for their little one. It is also a love letter for anyone who is nervous of pushing themselves out of their comfort zone because of the fear of failure. You must remember history was not made by playing it safe, it was made by the chances that were taken. So rewrite your stars, decide your own fate, don't just jump...dive...and fly. Courage can only take its place where fear once resided.
